Follow our carefully planned Chitwan National Park Jungle Safari itinerary, designed with proper acclimatization and comfortable trekking days throughout the journey.

Depart Kathmandu or Pokhara early morning in a comfortable private vehicle or tourist coach, winding down through the scenic Trishuli River valley to the subtropical plains of Sauraha, Chitwan. Check into your luxury jungle resort and enjoy a welcome lunch. In the late afternoon, take a guided walking tour through an indigenous Tharu village to explore traditional mud-and-thatch architecture and organic farmlands. Watch the sunset over the Rapti River with riverbank refreshments, followed by an authentic dinner and an energetic live Tharu stick dance cultural performance.

Begin early with a serene wooden dugout canoe float down the misty Rapti River, observing rare gharial crocodiles, marsh muggers, kingfishers, and aquatic birds basking on the sandbanks. Disembark for a thrilling 2-hour guided jungle walking trek through dense Sal forests and elephant-grass corridors with senior naturalists, tracking footprints of one-horned rhinos, sloth bears, and leopards. Visit the government elephant breeding center to learn about conservation efforts. After a hot lunch at the resort, embark on an open-top 4WD jeep safari venturing deep into the core national park zone, tracking the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger around natural waterholes and grassland salt licks.

Wake at dawn for a specialized morning birdwatching walk along the riverbanks and community buffer zone forests led by an expert ornithologist naturalist. Chitwan is home to over 540 recorded bird species, including the giant hornbill, Bengal florican, and paradise flycatcher. Return to the resort for a buffet breakfast before boarding your private vehicle or tourist coach for the scenic drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Requires Chitwan National Park Entry Permit and community buffer zone conservation fees. Maximum elevation is only 150–200 m above sea level (subtropical climate). Neutral-colored clothing (khaki, green, beige) is recommended for all jungle walks to avoid disturbing wildlife. Activities are strictly guided by licensed wildlife naturalists.
