The Dudh Kunda Heli Tour offers an aerial journey directly to the sacred milky lake of Dudh Kunda (4,560 m), resting at the foot of Mount Numbur in the Solukhumbu region. Highly revered by both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims, this high-altitude glacial basin typically demands days of rugged, off-the-beaten-path trekking. This charter flight bypasses strenuous climbs, delivering a safe landing directly inside the mountain sanctuary within hours of leaving Kathmandu.
Due to the rapid elevation jump to 4,560 meters, total ground time at the lake is restricted to 20–30 minutes to eliminate Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) risks. Helicopters carry emergency medical oxygen. Departures depend on clear flight paths and weather conditions in the high valleys.
Early morning departure from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) domestic apron. Fly east over the terraced hills of Sindhuli and Dolakha into Solukhumbu, making a brief technical refueling stop at Phaplu airstrip. Continue the ascent directly to Dudh Kunda Lake at 4,560 m. Enjoy 20 to 30 minutes on the ground for prayers, photography, and panoramic views of Mt. Numbur and Karyalung. Re-board the aircraft for the scenic descent and return flight to Kathmandu.
