The 1-Day Everest Helicopter Tour with Kala Patthar Landing and Hotel Everest View Breakfast is Nepal's ultimate bucket-list luxury aerial adventure. Departing early morning from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you soar eastward over the rolling green hills and Dudh Koshi river gorge to Lukla. Flying deeper into Sagarmatha National Park past Namche Bazaar and Tengboche Monastery, the helicopter makes a thrilling high-altitude landing at Kala Patthar (5,450 m)—the closest and clearest vantage point in the world for unobstructed eye-level views of Mount Everest (8,848 m), Lhotse, Nuptse, and the Khumbu Glacier. Following photography on the ground, the flight descends to the world-renowned Hotel Everest View (3,880 m) in Syangboche for an outdoor gourmet breakfast facing the mountain before returning directly to Kathmandu before noon.
Requires Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit, Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit, and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Airport Passenger Service charges. Maximum landing altitude is 5,450 m at Kala Patthar (ground landing time is strictly set to 10–15 minutes for safety to prevent altitude sickness). Hotel Everest View landing allows 45–60 minutes for breakfast. 07:00 AM: Take off aboard an Airbus H125 high-altitude helicopter. Fly eastward over Nagarkot, Jiri, and the Lamjura pass into the Everest region, landing briefly at Lukla Airport (2,860 m) for aircraft refueling.
07:45 AM: Fly above Namche Bazaar, Tengboche Monastery, and the Khumbu Glacier moraine. Make an exhilarating landing at the helipad of Kala Patthar (5,450 m) or Everest Base Camp. Step outside for 10 to 15 minutes to take photographs and gaze directly at the summit pyramid of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Pumori.
08:30 AM: Fly down the valley to the helipad at Hotel Everest View (3,880 m) in Syangboche. Enjoy 45 to 60 minutes on the open panoramic terrace savoring a gourmet breakfast with freshly brewed coffee facing Mount Everest and Ama Dablam.
09:45 AM: Board the helicopter for the scenic return flight down the Dudh Koshi valley via Lukla, soaring over the middle hills back to Kathmandu.
