Itinerary

Day 1: From Kande to Deurali

On the first day of the Mardi Himal trek, you start trekking from Kande. The trail slowly ascends through terraced fields and lush forests of rhododendron and oak. The charming village of Pothana is a good spot to take a break before continuing to Deurali, where you’ll be welcomed with stunning views of the Annapurna range.

The path on day two offers serene climbs through the forest with moments of clearing that provide panoramic views of the valley below and the surrounding hills. The peaceful atmosphere and the sound of the wind rustling through the trees make this section of the trek particularly tranquil.

The trail progresses further up and out of the forest to Low Camp. From there, you continue on the path lined with shrubby vegetation until you reach the High Camp. This is the jump-off point for an amazing sunrise view over the skyline of the Annapurna range.

This day includes an early morning hike from High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp. The climb is steep and challenging, but the up-close views of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain), and the surrounding peaks make it all worth the effort. After soaking in the views, you will descend back to Low Camp for an overnight stay.

The descent on the last leg of the trek takes you through the beautiful forested path and terraced fields where you’ll witness authentic village life. Siding Village marks the end of the trekking trail and the beginning of your return to Pokhara and end of the Mardi Himal trek.
