Overview

Chulu West Peak (6,419m) rises in the heart of Nepal’s Annapurna region and is known for its awe-inspiring mountain vistas, rich cultural experiences, and exhilarating climbing routes. This peak offers an ideal combination of high-altitude trekking and technical mountaineering, making it a favorite for experienced adventurers. With breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Massif, and numerous other snow-covered summits, it stands as one of the most rewarding peaks in the area.

Trek and Climb Overview
The journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Khudi, from where the trek leads through the stunning Marsyangdi Valley and eventually into the world-renowned Manang Valley. The landscape shifts dramatically—from lowland rice fields to dense oak and pine forests, and finally into the arid high-altitude terrain near Manang at 3,597m.
This gradual ascent not only aids acclimatization but also gives trekkers the chance to witness the diverse ethnic cultures and lifestyles of Himalayan communities along the way.

Chulu West Summit and Return
The climb to Chulu West Base Camp requires good physical conditioning and strong stamina, as it is a demanding ascent. After summiting the peak, the route continues over the iconic Thorong La Pass (5,416m), before descending to the spiritual town of Muktinath. The adventure wraps up with a scenic trek to Jomsom, followed by a short flight to Pokhara and a drive back to Kathmandu.
